On Thursday 8 May, the S3TAX team joined professionals from across the tax sector at the Park Lane Hilton in London for the prestigious Tolley’s Tax Awards 2025 – and we’re incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for the second consecutive year in the Best New Practice category.
While we didn’t take home the trophy, being named as a finalist again is a real honour and a fantastic milestone in our journey as a dedicated tax advisory firm for the third sector.
The Tolley’s Awards is among the most respected in the UK tax profession, recognising innovation, impact, and excellence across the industry. To be acknowledged in this space, especially as a young firm with a very focused mission, is a clear sign that what we’re building at S3TAX is both relevant and valued.
Since our launch in 2022, we’ve worked tirelessly to deliver specialist VAT and tax advice to charities, housing associations, and other not-for-profit organisations. Over the past year alone, we’ve:
- Secured millions in VAT refunds and reliefs for clients
- Launched new services supporting independent schools in light of 2024 VAT reform plans
- Expanded our team, welcoming leading VAT expert David McKinlay
- Continued to shape third sector tax policy through our work with HMRC, the Charity Tax Group, and ICAS
We’re incredibly grateful to our clients and partners for trusting us with their most complex tax challenges and for helping us grow into a firm that’s now being recognised at the highest level.
